About the Company

Our client is a well-established Irish organisation operating in a specialist sector with a strong national footprint. They are currently investing in the modernisation and enhancement of their core systems and are seeking an experienced .NET Developer to join their technology team in Kerry.

This is a hybrid role offering a mix of on-site collaboration and remote flexibility.

The Role

You will play a key role in the development, maintenance, and operational support of business-critical applications. This position requires someone who is equally comfortable building new features and supporting live production systems.

Operational support experience is crucial — the successful candidate will be involved in troubleshooting, system monitoring, performance optimisation, and ensuring high system availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using .NET and C#

  • Work with SQL Server for database design, optimisation, and query performance

  • Develop and support cloud-based solutions in Microsoft Azure

  • Provide hands-on operational and production support

  • Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions

  • Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and cloud migrations

  • Contribute to best practices around security, performance, and scalability

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years’ experience in .NET development

  • Strong proficiency in C#

  • Solid experience with SQL Server (query optimisation, indexing, stored procedures)

  • Experience deploying and supporting applications in Azure

  • Proven background in operational support / production support environments

  • Experience working in hybrid cloud or modern DevOps environments is advantageous

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

  • Excellent communication skills
